Invest In a Wok Folks
by Lisa T.
If you use Amazon it will come to your door. Then buy sesame oil, bok choy, and red pepper flakes at the grocery store just for starters. Portabella mushrooms are also full of potassium and of course red potatoes. I eat these alone or with melted cheese. So yummy and my blood sugar and weight plummet. Protein and complex carbs are great for us. Nuts are FULL of nutrients but also fat calories so keep it to 1/4 cup a […]

Titanium dioxide. All of them? I don’t eat much processed food but we all do eat some. I’ve been taking Turmeric Root with Ginger and garlic for 23 years and never have digestive problems so I recommend that as a front line. That and eating while foods predominantly.

They have 1200mg of potassium in one cup and 58 carb grams, so eat one or two small ones, not a whole cup. The End of the Vegetarian Ways in Favor of Vegan Ways
by Lisa T.
I thought they were the same. Turns out, vegans are stricter than vegetarians and don’t eat dairy or cheese as well as no animal foods. This is an interesting article from the NY Times. This link details the differences. https://www.healthline.com/nutrition/vegan-vs-vegetarian Here is the article: https://getpocket.com/explore/item/the-death-of-the-vegetarian?utm_source=pocket-newtab

Your Body Needs Electrolytes; Sodium, Potassium, and Water.
by Lisa T.
But what happens is most people don’t get 4700mg of Potassium, 1800mg of Sodium, an essential mineral, and half of their body weight in ounces of water daily. Because they don’t get their electrolytes that fuel their electrons, they eat much sugar intead and have intense sugar cravings. Sugar isn’t going to solve your cellular energy problem. It’s just going to make you high and superficially happy for about 15 minutes. Been there done that. I was a sugar addict […]

Why Isn’t Sugar an Electrolyte?
by Lisa T.
It is a minor one. It feels like one when you eat it! I don’t eat it any more though and my brain is just not as happy. 😔 No sugar for me. I was addicted to it so I’m on the wagon and sober. Sugar is not technically an electrolyte. However, glucose (a simple sugar that comes from food and drinks) does help with the absorption of electrolytes and makes it easier for them to do their various jobs. […]

Watch Your Blood Sugar if You Use Protein Powders
by Lisa T.
I think too many people replace eating whole foods and chewing with these various protein powder meal replacements on the market. We are animals with teeth after all, not robots. I’m on a super healthy whole food way of life to keep my blood sugar normal, which it has been for three months, between 95 and 108. I had one of these Ka’Chava shakes yesterday and this morning my blood sugar was 177!! I feel fine and I know it […]

Why are Biotin Levels so High in Multivitamin Gummies?
by Lisa T.
Biotin supplements can cause problems if you take too much. Side effects of biotin can include trouble sleeping, skin rashes, digestive upset, problems with insulin release, and kidney problems. As with any supplement, the safety of long-term or high-dose use isn’t known.Jun 30, 2022 verywellhealth.com https://www.verywellhealth.com/biotin-for-hair-growth-89236#:~:text=Biotin%20supplements%20can%20cause%20problems,insulin%20release%2C%20and%20kidney%20problems.&text=As%20with%20any%20supplement%2C%20the,dose%20use%20isn’t%20known. Apparently many people take it with collagen as well for hair and nails. But biotin is a B Vitamin and my gummie has 5000% of the recommended daily value! If it’s possible it interferes […]
